A day in the life of a workin girl...
I love the saying "April showers bring May flowers" What about June? Well, June these days have been filled with humidity and late afternoon thunderstorms. June is the beginning of summer and always fun for a recent high school graduate! Pool parties, BBQ, trips to the zoo and night time campfires. But without the constant homework load and papers due a girl can get preoccupied with friends and the social life around her. I love this because God just pulls you back and reminds you that there is a time and place for everything. Recently I have been able to experience a situation just like that. I love to get ahead of myself and think about the future too much. When will I get married? How many kids will I have? Where will I live? So many things to worry about and I try to do it all on my own. God just grabs me by the hand and pulls me into His lap and says "tell me what your thinking, hoping and worrying about!" Sometimes this pulling can be hard and it forces you to give up possessions or people. One scripture that has given me comfort is “The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands.”- Psalm 138:8. Praise God that we have a hope and a future in Him and that what He has planned for us is way better than anything we could imagine!
